My client is a well known construction company looking to add to their brilliant finance team. This will be a temp to perm opportunity with an immediate start!

The role will be responsible for the correct approval of payments to Subcontractors, to uphold and communicate the values and culture of the company brand and to position the company as the contractor of choice.

Key responsibilities:

  • To check VAT status of subcontractors
  • To check CIS status of subcontractors
  • Set up new accounts and maintain existing account records within the ledger
  • Copy and distribution of invoices to surveyors
  • Reconciliation of invoices/applications to payments made by surveyors
  • Check payments to meet HMRC regulations regarding materials/labour and plant charges
  • Authorise the surveyors certificates for payment
  • Processing BACS payments and the preparation of cheques.
  • Monthly CIS returns
  • Liaise with surveyors and subcontractors regarding payments
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft excel, word and outlook
  • Customer relations with subcontractors and fellow colleagues
  • To attend any discussions regarding the department or company
