The Organisation
Our client is an exciting, fast-growing Midlands-based business in the Logistics / Transport space. With an exceptional service level and unique offering to their impressive portfolio of blue chip clients, they are well positioned for their next phase of growth. As they continue on this impressive growth arc, they are looking to recruit a Sales Director to shape and build a team, and to steer their commercial efforts.

The Role
Reporting in to the CEO, the Sales Director will take control of the organisation's sales strategy. In order to deliver a "best in class" approach to winning new business and managing existing accounts, you will build and shape a team of sales professionals that will deliver on both your's and the organisation's vision and strategy. You will lead the charge in further developing their existing industry verticals and also breaking new ground as they look to diversify their customer base. This is a truly exciting time to join a rapidly growing business.

The Candidate
The successful Sales Director will:
- need to have a demonstrable track record of sales leadership and B2B sales in the transport / logistics industry
- ideally have experience of selling transport / logistics services in to multiple industry sectors
- be able to own, shape, develop and implement a sales strategy
- have experience of building winning sales teams
- be a proactive self-starter with the drive to succeed
- be able to build strong working relationships across all internal and external stakeholders

While this role will involve regular travel to customer sites, there will be a need to regularly be in the West Midlands office.
