£13.73 per hour
⏰ 30.5 hours per week - Wednesday - Sunday
We are seeking a dedicated Refuge Practitioner to support women and children living within our refuge settings. This position plays a vital role in providing both emotional and practical assistance, helping residents settle into day-to-day life, and ensuring the refuge remains a safe and supportive environment.
What you’ll be doing:

Delivering one-to-one support and facilitating group sessions with residents.

Working closely with external partners on matters such as housing, welfare benefits, safeguarding, and wellbeing.

Maintaining accurate case notes and adhering to confidentiality standards.

Contributing to the smooth running of the refuge and creating a welcoming space.

Someone who can work well on their own initiative as well as part of a wider team.

Strong organisational and communication skills.

A full UK driving licence is essential, as you’ll travel between two sites in the city.

Knowledge of safeguarding would be an advantage (training is available).
Previous experience in a similar setting is desirable, but we are equally keen to hear from applicants who are studying or training in psychology, social care, counselling, or related areas. An Enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.
