The Engineering & Manufacturing division of SF Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced QHSE to be part of an expanding team with a well-established business. This is a brand new role, allowing for high levels of autonomy and an opportunity to create robust systems from scratch.
Scope of role
- Helps set up and maintain the standards for quality, health, safety & environmental management.
- Create a culture of continuous improvement and high standards to safeguard the well-being of employees.
- Support the businesses commitment to deliver excellence whilst keeping the environmental impact to a minimum.
- Carry out internal site audits and risk assessments to facilitate risk mitigation and implement robust strategies and safety systems.
- Lead external QHSE audits and liaise with other departmental leads to ensure compliance and address any findings or corrective actions.
- Design and implement QHSE training literature for all employees to help create a culture of health and safety self-awareness.
- Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, ensuring robot root cause analysis and corrective actions implemented to prevent future occurrences.
- Liaise with external governing bodies such as HSE and local authorities.
The QHSE Advisor
- Experienced QHSE professional, educated to NEBOSH general certificate as a minimum.
- A confident decision maker who is comfortable with high levels of autonomy.
- Excellent communicator who can confidently visit company sites and increase QHSE awareness within the teams.
- First rate time management skills - you will plan your own workload!
- Driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
