Job Title: Procurement Coordinator
Contract: 6 Month FTC
Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 (Pro Rata'd)
Location: North Northamptonshire - Office Based

The Procurement and Supply Chain Division at SF Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Procurement Coordinator to join their international Manufacturing client on a full time, permanent basis. This position is a fully office-based role in Northampton.

As a Procurement Coordinator, you will report directly into the Procurement and Supply Chain Director and be responsible for ensuring the right materials arrive on site at the correct times and do not make any delays to the manufacturing/production schedules.

Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining the correct inventory levels on site against agreed target levels.
- Raising, processing and authorising purchasing orders.
- Coordinating transportation of goods, ensuring a smooth coordination between freight forwarders and carriers as well as ensuring contractual obligations are fulfilled.
- Working closely alongside the finance department to monitor costs and outstanding invoices.
- Identifying supply chain issues due to Brexit and supplier lead times, ensuring you are proactive in your approach to minimize effects on production.
- Reporting to senior management on supplier and business performance and department forecasting.
- Maintaining an accurately updated MRP with inventory levels, order status', supplier communications and invoice receipts.
- Continuously seeking opportunities to reduce costs whilst continuing to maximize quality and increase lead times.

The successful candidate for the Procurement Coordinator / Materials Planner position will have previous experience working within a procurement / supply chain / material controller position.

Experience in the below will also be highly advantageous:

- Strong understanding of supply chain processes.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Highly organised with the ability to work to agreed deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a large team including procurement, supply chain and production.
- IT Literate - previous experience using an MRP or ERP would be an advantage.
