Lead Data Scientist

Hybird (Ideally 3 days per week)

Our esteemed client, a prominent organisation operating in defence, healthcare, government services, and energy solutions sectors, is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join their dynamic Business Intelligence team located in Birmingham.

About the Role:

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be at the forefront of enhancing our client's BI and analytics capabilities. Your primary responsibility will involve leading the development of intricate data models and analytical solutions. Utilising your expertise in data science and machine learning, you will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to tackle critical business challenges and optimise service offerings for a diverse range of clients, including military establishments, NHS trusts, and private hospitals.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement advanced machine learning models and data-driven strategies to address complex business challenges.
Lead the development of dashboards using Python/Java, leveraging the API via the AWS CLI. 
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Conduct comprehensive data audits across business systems to ensure data accuracy and consistency.

Requirements:

Master's degree or Ph.D. in a relevant field. (Or a large amount of experience in the sector)
Extensive experience in data modelling, machine learning, and analytics.
Proficiency in Python or Java, particularly for data processing and dashboard development.
