SF Recruitment are looking for a Junior Logistics Coordinator to join a fantastic business in Ashbourne. This is a full time, permanent role paying up to £25,000 and offers fantastic training and support. You will work closely with their senior logistics team members, who will serve as mentors, guiding you through their structured training program.

Position Overview:

As a Junior Logistics Coordinator, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the efficient operation of our logistics activities. You will work closely with our senior logistics team members to coordinate shipments, manage inventory, and ensure timely delivery of goods to our clients. Responsibilities:

Initially you will be required to familiarise yourself with the company's products and have a knowledge of what products are produced at each of the company's sites.
You will be given guidance on the internal administrative processes of the Planning & Logistics Department including booking of transport.
Creating purchase orders for external ancillary products, production and distribution of key documents both internally & externally .
You will be directly involved with the design, planning and yard team, to gain a full understanding of the process from receipt of an enquiry through to product dispatch.
Assist in coordinating transportation and shipment schedules to optimise efficiency and minimise costs
Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and customers to track shipments and resolve any issues that may arise.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in managing warehouse operations
Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including shipping labels, invoices, and reports.
Assist in analysing logistics data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
Provide general administrative support to the logistics team as needed.

Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Prior experience in logistics or related field is a plus but not required.
