Interim Cost Accountant

As an Cost Accountant supporting the ERP implementation, you will work closely with the finance team, project managers, and IT department to ensure smooth integration of cost accounting functionalities into the new ERP system.

You will be responsible for validating data, aligning cost structures, and ensuring accurate costing methodologies are implemented within the new system.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of cost accounting modules within the new ERP system.
• Review and map existing cost accounting processes to the new ERP system.
• Provide expertise in cost allocation, standard costing, and variance analysis.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate data migration and integration of cost data into the new system.
• Assist in developing and testing cost-related reports, ensuring they align with business needs.
• Collaborate with finance and IT teams to troubleshoot any issues related to cost accounting data during the implementation phase.
• Provide training and guidance to finance staff on the new ERP cost accounting processes and features.
• Assist in refining and improving cost reporting tools post-implementation.

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven experience as a Cost Accountant or in a similar role, ideally within an ERP implementation context.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, standard costing, and variance analysis.
• Experience working with major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).
• Solid understanding of data migration processes and systems integration.
• Ability to identify process inefficiencies and contribute to process improvements.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
