Infrastructure Engineer

Infrastructure Engineer - On-site - £50,000-£60,000

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with strong expertise in virtualisation, Windows Server environments, and cloud-based technologies. You'll be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting complex infrastructure across physical, virtual, and cloud platforms in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and support Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Hyper-V, and Azure environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across servers, networks, and SAN storage (Dell/EMC).
• Manage and document system upgrades, patches, and configurations.
• Provide Tier 3 support and technical guidance to internal teams.
• Monitor system performance, backups, and network uptime.
• Implement and maintain security best practices and compliance standards (GDPR, cybersecurity).
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on infrastructure projects and procurement.

Required Skills:

• Proven experience with Windows Server, Hyper-V, AD, Azure, and O365.
• Hands-on with Dell EMC SANs, SonicWall, and network monitoring tools.
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation capabilities.
• Familiarity with DR/BCP strategies and compliance frameworks.
• Strong project management, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to support users and teams remotely and onsite.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for installations and upgrades.
• MCSE and CCNA certifications are a positive
