With recent strategic acquisitions and plans for further expansion, the company is seeking a talented Group Management/Financial Accountant to play a pivotal role in its continued success.


The Group Management/Financial Accountant will be a key player within the finance team, directly supporting the Group Financial Controller. This role is designed for an individual who thrives on responsibility and is eager to make a significant impact on the company's financial processes and strategy. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving the financial management and reporting across the group's diverse portfolio of companies.


Key Responsibilities:


- Leadership in Reporting: Responsible for preparing and delivering accurate monthly management reports that inform strategic decision-making.
- Consolidation Expertise: Oversee the consolidation of management reports from multiple trading companies, ensuring data accuracy and coherence.
- Problem-Solving: Investigate and resolve financial queries, providing insightful explanations and solutions that enhance business performance.
- Process Improvement: Lead initiatives to develop and improve financial controls and processes, driving efficiency and accuracy.
- Acquisition Integration: Support the integration and stabilization of newly acquired companies into the group's financial structure.
- Statutory Reporting: Assist in producing statutory annual and interim reports for the operating companies and the group.
- Tax and Regulatory Compliance: Oversee tax filings, VAT, P11d, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Treasury Management: Manage Treasury operations, ensuring compliance with banking covenants and adequate liquidity.
- Team Leadership: Manage and develop finance teams within each trading entity, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.
- Data Integrity: Ensure the integrity of financial data across all accounts and key systems.

Key Requirements:


- A qualified accountant with broad experience, ideally in PLC statutory reporting.
- Proficiency in both financial and management reporting.
- Strong IT/systems skills, with expert-level Excel capabilities.
- Analytical mindset with a proactive, problem-solving approach.
- Positive attitude toward change and continuous improvement.
- Previous experience in the SME sector, comfortable with a wide range of responsibilities.
- High attention to detail.

Desirable Skills:


- Knowledge of Sage 200.
- Experience with IFRS reporting.
- Familiarity with PLC requirements.
- Experience in systems change or implementation.
