Financial Controller

My client is a professional services business based in Manchester. Due to a previous leaver they are now recruiting this upgraded position into their vibrant and expanding finance function, this business has gone from strength to strength doubling in size over recent years so this is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing organisation where you will be able to drive change and improvements.

As a Financial Controller you will be responsible for the financial reporting side of the function ensuring it runs as effectively and efficiently as possible. This will include producing monthly management accounts and providing commentary to senior management on the performance of the business, analysing variances to budget, producing profit and loss reports, making strategic decisions to improve processes and performance of the business, as well as business partnering with various finance and non-finance stakeholders. You will also have direct line management responsibility with larger teams under those direct manager reports so there will be day to day management tasks to complete.

This role will suit an ACA qualified accounting professional who has experience in a finance leadership role, preferably within a professional services organisation. You will have good communication skills in order to business partner with various key stakeholders effectively.

The salary on offer is paying up to £80,000 dependant on experience with an attractive benefits package that includes hybrid working, a generous holiday entitlement and fantastic opportunities to develop and progress within the organisation.
