Data Manager

A thriving wholesale business with ambitious growth plans is seeking a dynamic individual to join their team as a Data Manager. The company, previously part of a successful business group, has recently undergone a change in ownership and is dedicated to preserving its entrepreneurial spirit while adapting to new challenges.

Role Overview:

As a Data Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and executing data-related tasks in alignment with departmental objectives. Initially, you will be involved in a project focusing on data cleansing and migration activities. Your responsibilities will extend to overseeing the data team, ensuring the completion of tasks to the required standards within specified timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead data cleansing and migration workstream activities within the project.
Manage tasks across the data team, ensuring timely completion to required standards.
Input customer, supplier, product, and pricing data, supporting other data administrators.
Oversee product and pricing data input for the company's webstores.
Manage business systems settings and engage in systems administration.
Develop management information and contribute to MI packs as needed.
Address data queries across the business, escalating to the departmental lead when necessary.
Provide training support to system users and colleagues.
Ensure compliance with data regulation policies.

Skills and Experience:

Previous experience in managing business system data requirements.
Experience in data migration between systems is preferable.
Enthusiastic and capable problem solver.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proven ability to work to strict deadlines, processing data quickly and accurately.
Good numeracy and communication skills.
Proficient in Excel.
Excellent relationship management and coaching/training abilities.
